Navigation
When the emergency command & control centre sends a callout order to the vehicle, the details of the callout are shown on the screen while the system automatically begins to plot the best route. The navigation system also provides the driver with vocal guiding.
Case management and status
The details of the case are presented to the driver, starting with the most important pieces of information. Should the driver choose to acknowledge the case, status is then transmitted back to the sender and the plotting of best route starts immediately. P.M.S. makes it possible to run several cases simultaneously, towards one or several alarm centres.
Obviously, the system can be configured to use precisely the relevant status required by the vehicle in question.
GIS-maps
The system gives the user the option to switch between different types of maps, be they topographical, geological, land legistry or orthophotographic. The system supports MapInfo.
Document Management
The managing of documents is made easy with a structure that can easily be transferred to and from the dispatch centre and one or more vehicles. Paratus Sync also enables automatic flows of information between vehicles and dispatch centre, so that all vehicles are equipped with the same up-to-date information of documents and system updates.
Protection for other Windows functions
Users need never worry about causing system problems by pressing the wrong button. The Paratus Mobile System provides support for the particular role the user has. We have ring-fenced all the Windows functions not normally required – only users issued with the password will have access to these.
User-friendly interface
All information is visible on the touch screen, by a very user friendly interface. No keyboard is needed, but may of course be easily connected if the need arises. As you press the Status and Destination buttons on the screen, information is sent to the alarm centre and to other systems.
Positioning
The system automatically transmit positioning data, allowing for transmission to simultaneous receivers. If the need arises to show position to several users, the system can be connected to the communication server Paratus Gateway which transmits vehicle position data to several vehicles.
Communication
All communication goes through GSM/SPRS. GPRS is used to connect to the Internet or to a private server, and for picture transference. The system is prepared for TETRA and 3G.
Other software can be integrated into the system, which has Win2000/XP as standard.
