Saab AB PerformIT won the tender of a new IT support system for emergency and ambulance services in Blekinge.
Saab AB PerformIT won the tender of a new IT support system for emergency and ambulance services in Blekinge county.
The agreement involves the supply of the popular and full-fledged emergency- and ambulance system, Paratus Information System, and the powerful vehicle- and handheld computer system to all the county's 22 ambulances.
Paratus Information System consists of ambulance records, emergency module, communication with other medical records, vehicle tracking, reporting, support for METTS and ADAPT, support for regional and local guidance. Paratus receives emergency information (assignments) from SOS Alarm and automatically creates a record and also automatically plots the fastest route to the destination on the vehicle's front screen. In the medical cabin (in the back) is a touch screen for adding and updating patient records and a PDA allows updates from outside the vehicle. All collected data is sent to the County Council's record server instantaneously. Paratus allows electronic communications to / from emergency departments which shows assignments on the way in together with the estimated time of arrival.
